Our experts are fully versed in the Tennessee Accessibility Code (ADA Building Compliance) which details the specific requirements for parking lots, sidewalks, ramps, routes, etc. that should be followed in order to provide a safe route from the parking area to the building entrance.

The minimum specifications Tennessee ADA Building Compliance code may be viewed here.  Tenn. Code Ann. § 68-120-204  entitled Buildings and public entertainment facilities must be accessible to the disabled.

All public buildings constructed, enlarged, or remodeled as of July 1, 2012, must be in accordance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design

Public facilities that are in compliance shall display a symbol that is white on a blue background. The specifications for this symbol are furnished by the department of transportation indicating the location of such facilities designed for persons with physical disabilities.

Ensuring that your property meets these specifications is a great way to minimize the liability risk associated with vulnerable pedestrians, fire hazards, and general traffic traversing your property.
